    20.005

    Project
The restoration of the historic Abattoir market hall in Anderlecht, Brussels, combines architectural heritage with solar innovation. Built in 1890, the listed structure is being revitalized through the integration of 5,800 photovoltaic modules across more than 12,000 m² of roofing. Developed by Skysun in collaboration with Sunsoak, the solar roof is designed to preserve the appearance of traditional zinc roofing while generating an estimated 1,653 MWh of clean electricity annually, demonstrating how renewable energy can be integrated into historic architecture.
