La CREA – Hangar 108

PROGRAM
Hangar 108, completed in 2016 in Rouen, is the headquarters of Métropole Rouen Normandie. The project was designed by Ferrier Marchetti Studio.

The building incorporates building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems that function both as solar shading devices and as energy-producing elements. The photovoltaic installation has a capacity of 500 kW and is described as one of the largest in Western France.

Hangar 108 received the Coup de Cœur 2016 award from Qualit’EnR and the American Architecture Prize in 2017.
