Poste du Louvre

Project
Poste du Louvre is a historic building located in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. Originally built at the end of the 19th century by architect Julien Guadet, the structure combines a stone perimeter with an internal metal framework.

Between 2012 and 2021, the building underwent a major restructuring following an international competition. Led by Dominique Perrault Architecture, the project retained the historic post office while introducing offices, social housing, retail spaces, and a five-star hotel with a rooftop.

The redevelopment transformed the formerly closed block into a permeable urban ensemble through a network of arcades, porches, and galleries inspired by Parisian passages. The project covers a site area of 8,240 m² and a total built area of 50,069 m².
