Gare Maritime

Project

The Gare Maritime, formerly the largest railway station for goods in Europe, located at the Tour & Taxis site in Brussels, has undergone a remarkable transformation. It has been converted into a covered urban area featuring a diverse range of working spaces and retail options, all surrounded by ample public areas for relaxation. Neutelings Riedijk Architects have skillfully reimagined the Gare Maritime, crafting it into a district within the city—a place where expansive steel roofs protect visitors from the rain, creating a cityscape under cover.
