Oxy Tower

22.010

Project

The building, which stands at a height of 63 meters, is located above « The Mint » shopping center in one of the most bustling areas of Brussels city center. It is conveniently close to The Royal Theatre of La Monnaie opera house, the lively Place de Brouckère, and the De Brouckère metro station.

The architectural design of the building takes into consideration its immediate surroundings and the broader context of Brussels. While preserving the distinct forms and outlines of the existing structure, there has been a radical reimagining of both the façade and the internal spatial layout to align with contemporary requirements.

The new façade has a modular and minimalist appearance, incorporating essential building services like passive ventilation and PV panels. By integrating these functions into the façade, the technical complexities within the building are reduced, resulting in a more adaptable and easily repurposable space, all while minimizing the need for extensive demolition of the existing construction.
